How to find a reputable dog trainer

While we highly recommend our partner trainers, we also know that location and schedules may require you to seek out training elsewhere. Dog training is an unregulated industry that does not require a license or oversight, and as such, there are many trainers out there as well as training methodologies. Not all subscribe to humane, science-based methods. At Paw It 4ward, we only support force-free methods and positive reinforcement-based training. We encourage you to ask questions and research a potential trainer and their methods. Using the wrong trainer can increase anxiety, fear, reactivity and potentially, aggression.
